We had an exciting and extremely busy week at Durshal Peshawar where social entrepreneurs from all over KP assembled for a Bootcamp conducted by DEMO - Ideas for Impact with the support of UNDP Pakistan and KPITB. All the startups had to pass through a 5-day rigorous training that was carefully designed to equip them for their entrepreneurial journey from inception to fruition.

The most encouraging aspect of this Bootcamp was that 45% of the participants were women entrepreneurs. Based on the overwhelmingly positive response we are confident that all these startups will now go on to turn their ideas into sustainable social enterprises. We hope that this Bootcamp will become a model for others provinces on how to mobilize entrepreneurs and innovators to solve social problems, while also creating job opportunities for our youth
